Baby Weighing

Breast Screening
Breast cancer remains the most prevalent cancer in UK women, with approximately 1 in 8 being diagnosed during their lifetime. Initiated in 1988, the NHS Breast Screening Programme provides mammograms every three years to facilitate early detection. This early detection is crucial as it increases the likelihood of breast-conserving surgery and enhances long-term survival rates, contributing to the saving of an estimated 1,300 lives each year.
Carers Support
An adult carer provides unpaid care and support to a family member, partner, or friend, because of health or social care needs that can include a disability, health condition, mental health problem, frailty, or addiction. The caring role varies between carers and differs depending on the needs of the person being cared for, but may include domestic tasks, help with mobility, help with washing and dressing, childcare, emotional support, and help with financial matters.

Coil & Implant Fitting
A coil prevents pregnancy primarily by stopping sperm from reaching the egg, thus avoiding fertilisation. It can also prevent a fertilised egg from implanting in the womb. With over 99% effectiveness, fewer than 5 in 1000 individuals using a coil will become pregnant over five years. This makes the coil significantly more effective than pills or condoms in preventing pregnancy.

A MECS examination offers a quick assessment of your eye condition by an accredited optometrist in a well-equipped setting. Most patients will be managed within the community, reducing unnecessary hospital referrals and providing care closer to home. If needed, referrals to specialists will be made with appropriate urgency.
